Cancellation and refund

The parties can cancel the contract in a number of ways.

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013

Under the regulations, you have the right to change your mind about your subscription and cancel your contract within a 14-day period. The 14-day period will start from the:

day you subscribe to the scheme, or

from the date of delivery if you have ordered a bin(s) or sacks

If you should wish to cancel within this period, please send us an e‐mail.

Your subscription fee will be refunded within 14 days of your notice of cancellation if you cancel during this period. We will then contact you to arrange collection of your:

  • garden waste bin, or
  • sacks

A charge may be made if the bin has been damaged after delivery to you.

Cancelling the contract as a customer

Once you are receiving garden waste collections, you may cancel the contract at any time. You must provide us with at least one months' notice. You can do this:

Please note you will not be refunded the cost of your subscription or your bin/sacks.

Our right to cancel

Once we have begun to provide you with the scheme, we may cancel the contract by providing you with at least one months' notice in writing. We will contact you to arrange a pro-rated refund

Immediate contract cancellation due to breach

We may cancel the contract with you for the scheme at any time with immediate effect by giving written notice. This is if you breach the contract in any other material way and do not correct the problem within five working days of us making a request for you to do so. In this instance a refund will not be provided.
