European Parliamentary elections took place on Thursday 23rd May 2019.
Southend-on-Sea is within the eastern region for the European Parliamentary elections. Chelmsford City Council are the returning officer for the whole of this region, which covers Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk. There are seven seats available.
The total votes cast in Southend-on-Sea will be announced after 10pm on Sunday 26th May. This will form part of the wider result for the region, which will be announced by Chelmsford City Council later that night.
