Restrictions for a new residential disabled parking bay
Applications may meet the required criteria but may still be rejected. This could be due to several reasons:
- the bay would put the applicant or other road users in danger
- an existing waiting restriction is in operation at the location; and the existing restriction cannot be removed for traffic or safety reasons
- the bay would be located opposite or within 10 meters of a junction or on a bend
- there are other safety or street furniture issues which would impact the applicant's ability to easily access the bay
- the bay would block a turning point in the road
- the property has off-street parking with enough space for the Blue Badge holder to be able to enter and exit their vehicle
More details of these can be found on the Application procedure page.
