Counterfeit and illicit goods

With millions of counterfeit goods being produced and sold every year from shops, markets and increasingly online, it is a huge problem globally. Counterfeit goods are deliberately produced to resemble well-known brands. The most popular counterfeit items are cigarettes, cosmetics, clothes and jewellery.

Making or selling fake goods is against the law. If you or your business has been sold counterfeit products, please call Citizens Advice. They can advise you on the options available to try and get your money back. They will also report the matter to Trading Standards for investigation.

For all consumer and complaints, enquiries and advice, please call the Citizens Advice Consumer Service on 03454 04 05 06 or visit their website.
