Fees and charges

The fees and charges for the use of any part of the crematorium or service can be changed.

The fees and charges can be accessed:

All fees and charges are payable in advance to the Council. Some funeral directors do not have to pay in advance where private accounts are in place.

All visitors that are at work in the crematorium should follow anything the manager asks.

All funeral directors who use the crematorium should follow the Federation of British Cremation Authorities guidelines.

No person should operate any sound making equipment. They should not play any musical instrument in the Crematorium.

Burial or memorial services may be held in the Service Chapels. There is a fee to hire of the chapel for a service only (without the cremation afterwards).

A register of all cremations is kept at the cemetery office. They can search for records if asked. There may be a fee for this search. Visitors are not allowed access to the cremation registers or documents. (Regulation 20, Cremation Regulations, 1930).

The manager can change the types of memorials at the crematorium. They can stop a memorial, entry, or inscription, if they have a good reason.

The Council can change the rules at any time. They can make or take away rules.

With good reason the manager can make temporary restrictions or rules on anything. The new rules might not be covered in these rules.

Everyone coming to the Crematorium do so at their own risk. The Council cannot accept any liability for injuries or damage sustained, however caused.
