Traffic control
Vehicles may come into the crematorium and should follow the rules:
Vehicles can come in every day of the year in the hours of:
- 1 April to 30 September - 8am to 5pm
- 1 October to 31 March - 8am to 4:30pm
- Christmas Day - 8am to 2:30pm
Every day includes Good Friday, Christmas Day and Public Holidays
Rules
- the funeral cortege always has the right of way
- vehicles should not cause obstructions anywhere
- vehicles should not go faster than 10 miles per hour
- vehicles should enter only by the entrance gate. Vehicles should only exit by the exit gate. The gates have clear signs on to show which is the entrance and exit gate
- vehicles should only use the roadway and car park. Vehicles under the control of a Funeral Director can approach the crematorium chapels. A vehicle can drive near the chapels to let a visitor with disability out of the vehicle. All other vehicles (including bicycles) should be left in the car park
- no liability is accepted by the Council for loss of or damage to a vehicle or its contents or injury to its driver or passengers howsoever arising
- all requirements of the Registrar shall be followed
- vehicle access can be stopped at any time
