Cemetery regulations

Miscellaneous

Anyone (this does not include council workers) at work in the cemetery should follow all directions and requests of the manager.

Burial or memorial services may take place in the crematorium chapels.

A register of all burials and graves is kept at the cemetery office where searches can be made to locate a grave. Some searches might need a fee to be paid.

The type or types of memorial available in the cemetery are decided by the manager. The manager can sometimes not allow a memorial which may not be suitable. Memorial bronze plaques will only be allowed at the base of trees or shrubs and allowed by the manager.

The Council can change the rules at any time and can introduce or take away rules.

Any of the rules may be ignored by the manager with special reasons. The manager can put in temporary rules that are not in this document.

Everyone entering the Cemetery do so at their own risk. The Council cannot accept any liability for injuries or damage sustained, however it might be caused.
