Requesting video images because of an incident that has an element of crime involved
This should be first reported to the police.
Example
If you find damage to your vehicle because of a 'fail to stop', you should report this to the Police.
The police should then make enquires to us, and if we have any CCTV, we will share this with them.
We will be unable to provide footage if it is held in connection with criminal proceedings.
Public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it, under Section 31(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
