Damp, mould and condensation

All social landlords operating in the city must make sure their tenant's homes are safe to live in, this includes:

  • effective communication, identification and referral processes for damp and mould
  • responding quickly to reports of damp and mould
  • seeking to quickly identify and address the root cause of the issue
  • acknowledging that all tenants should be able to carry out everyday activities without stigma or blame

We expect all social landlords to also be reviewing and making sure that their practices are in line with all required:

  • legislation
  • regulations

This includes the new Consumer Standards.
