CCTV in private hire vehicles
4.1
Where in-car CCTV is installed in any vehicle, the system must be encrypted in order that images can only be downloaded by Police or authorised officer of the Council and not directly accessible to drivers or proprietors.
4.2
Any vehicle proprietor who installs in-car CCTV equipment shall notify the Council.
4.3
Where any in-car CCTV equipment is installed, a notice to this effect must be clearly displayed in the vehicle, the wording of which shall be approved by the Council
