Christmas opening times for our services
There are changes to some of our services and opening hours over the festive period. Information will be added to this page as they are confirmed.
Customer Service Centre telephony
Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, otherwise open as normal.
Registration Services
Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, otherwise open as normal.
Southend Cemetery and Crematorium
Closed for burials and cremation services over the bank holidays and on the 27 December.
The grounds are open as normal to the public (for people to visit to lay flowers etc).
Household Waste and Recycling Centres
Both closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day otherwise open as normal, more information can be found on our household waste recycling centres (the tip) page.

- Tuesday 24 Dec (Christmas Eve) - all libraries close at 4pm
- Wednesday 25 December (Christmas Day) - all libraries closed
- Thursday 26 December (Boxing Day) - all libraries closed

- Saturday 28 December - usual opening hours
- Sunday 29 December- all Libraries closed
