Housing benefit
You can get housing benefit to pay all of your rent if you receive:
- job seekers allowances
- income support
- employment support allowance
- universal credit
If you are in a Staying Put arrangement after the age of 18, you will be expected to claim any benefits that you are entitled to in the same way as other young people.
For some young people, these allowances may eventually be paid for by another service. Depending on your circumstances, you may be responsible for bills. This will be set out in your pathway plan.
