The full line-up for Southend City Day on Saturday 1 March has been unveiled, promising a spectacular celebration of music, community, and entertainment.

With a packed schedule of performances, activities, and attractions, Southend City Day offers something for everyone, culminating in an electrifying evening at Disco City, kicking off with a set by Essex star of screen and stage, Denise Van Outen, who will bring the night to life with a high-energy DJ set.
Throughout the day, the Southend City Stage, will showcase a fantastic line-up of local musicians, vocal groups, community choirs, and theatre acts.
As the sun sets, the stage will transform into Disco City, featuring a dazzling two-metre disco ball, reminiscent of the hugely popular Southend LuminoCity 2023 installation. Light-up wristbands (Xylobands) will pulse in sync with the music, creating an immersive experience.
Following Denise Van Outen's set, the evening will continue with performances from The Tempo Collective with Love Sensation, Love Sensation DJs, and DJ Daryl Easlea's The Record Department.
Cllr Daniel Cowan, Leader of the Council, said: "We said we would bring civic pride to Southend, and Southend City Day is a fantastic example of that promise in action. This event celebrates everything that makes our city special - our culture, heritage, and incredible community spirit. With a packed lineup of live performances and entertainment, it will bring people together in the heart of Southend for a truly memorable celebration."
Cllr Matt Dent, Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism, and Business, added: "Southend City Day is all about celebrating the energy, culture, and community spirit that makes our city so special. We're very excited to bring live entertainment to the heart of Southend, with an incredible lineup on the Southend City Stage and the return of Disco City.
