Southend is set to host its most exciting City Jam yet, taking place this weekend from Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September.
This year's festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of street art, featuring over 200 artists from around the world who will transform more than 100 permanent and temporary walls and cubes across the city centre, seafront and pier.
A highlight of the weekend will be the return of the Pop-Up Park to the High Street, where over 25 artists will showcase their creative talents, offering festivalgoers a chance to witness art in action, with music and food to add to the festival vibe.
New for 2024 is the Southend Pier Takeover, which includes the festival's most ambitious project yet, when four headline artists take on a 6-metre cube located a mile out to sea at the pier head.
A festival map is also now available online including details and locations of Southend City Jam artists. While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, artist locations may change. We recommend checking the official Southend City Jam website for the latest updates before and during the festival to make the most of your experience.
Councillor Matt Dent, cabinet member for culture, tourism and business, said: "Southend City Jam has become a highlight of our city's cultural calendar, and this year promises to be the most exciting yet.
"With over 200 artists transforming our streets and the incredible new takeover of Southend Pier, there's something for everyone to enjoy. We're thrilled to welcome both residents and visitors to experience the creativity and energy that makes Southend truly special.
"Don't miss the biggest Southend City Jam yet and experience incredible street art in a unique seaside setting!"
