Families who need baby ‘Bits and Bobs’ for their children aged 0 to five should pop along to Southend Family Centres baby banks.
The Bibs and Bobs baby bank is designed for families facing hardship, so they can select what they need for their baby and small children for free from the items available, such as clothes, shoes and toys. Equally, this service is a great way of recycling no longer needed items that still have some life in them.
If you have pre-loved items designed for children aged 0 to five, and would like to donate them, the bank will gladly take them off your hands, to help another family.
Cllr Helen Boyd, cabinet member for children's services, education and learning, said: “Bibs and Bobs is a vital resource that provides support to families who need essential items for their fast-growing tots, and helps to ease the financial pressures of parenthood to those experiencing hardship.
“As well as finding the necessities, families will also be greeted with politeness from non-judgmental staff who understand the difficulties and pressure of family life, regardless of personal circumstances.
“If you believe you or anyone you know could make use of the service make sure to book an appointment.
“Or if you can donate any much-needed items, please get in touch to help local families.”
