Step inside one of Southend's hidden treasures - a delightful venue built in the 15th Century. This charming house takes its name from le-Porters, a prominent family in South-East Essex who owned the estate from the 14th Century. It is tucked away behind walled grounds in the heart of Southend, set in wonderful gardens which gently slope down to a lovely pond.
Images can be viewed in our Porters album on flickr.
Porters will be exclusively yours for your celebration and, if you want, you can have a marquee in the garden for your reception.
The venue can accommodate 50 people for a ceremony and buffet style reception or 35 for a sit down meal. We can recommend preferred caterers but you are free to use your own if you so want. We can also offer you canapés and bubbly.
There are 2 rooms which can be booked - 'The Dining Room' and the 'Solar Room'.
Book a viewing today by contacting us on 01702 215009. You can also email us at registeroffice@southend.gov.uk to arrange a viewing.
