The corporate asset management strategy sets out how we manage and categorise our land and property assets. It outlines the reasons why we hold assets and the circumstances under which disposals may be considered.
The Plan is reviewed periodically as required to take account of the latest guidance, to support continued improvement and adapt to changing demands.

In certain circumstances, important local amenities (land or buildings) can be nominated for listing as assets of community value, and if they are then put up for sale, local community groups will have the opportunity to delay the sale to enable them to prepare a bid to buy the asset and take it over. See our community right to bid for assets of community value page for further information.
