What is the Supporting Families team?
The Supporting Families team works with all members of the family to help them make changes which would mean the family no longer needs extra help.
A family support practitioner visits families at home and creating a plan with them. The plan is reviewed with the family and other people who may be working with them.
How do I refer to the Supporting Families team?
A request for service form is completed and sent to the Childrens Single Point of Contact (C-SPOC) Team. The information provided will need to include details of what support has been tried before and what happened. Families may decline the support offered by the Supporting Families Team.
Referrals to the Supporting Families Team are received via email to the Childrens Single Point of Contact c-spoc@southend.gov.uk
The C-SPOC request for service form can be found on the Safeguarding Southend website.
