No Use Empty - South Essex

Are you a commercial property owner or developer?

Having secured Government funding from the Growing Places Fund and the Getting Building Fund the No Use Empty South Essex (NUE SE) project aims to kick start the development and re-use of empty commercial properties across South Essex.

The NUE SE initiative covers Southend, Basildon, Thurrock, Castle Point, Rochford and Brentwood.

If your property has been empty for at least six months, there are a limited number of 0% secured loans available to help return the building to use. This can be for alternative commercial development or mixed residential/commercial use.

  • loans are available in multiples of £25k up to a maximum value of £175k
  • the maximum loan term is three years
  • loans will be on a first come first served basis and can be prime funding or ‘top up’ funding - so if you cannot secure full financing from your bank, you can potentially ‘top up’ your bank funding with a loan from NUE SE

Applications will be assessed and determined by NUE team at Kent County Council, as they are already running a successful commercial property loan scheme. You can see examples of schemes successfully supported with the same funding on their website https://www.no-use-empty.org.uk/

If you would like more information please complete the expression of interest form using the link below and we will e-mail our NUE SE pack to you, which contains full details about the scheme and how to apply.
