Planning Legislation
Planning Legislation deals with:
- the correct use of a piece of land
- the impact of a development on the surrounding area
- the look of the building or extension
- landscaping issues
- highway access.
In dealing with these issues our Planning Officers also get involved with listed buildings, conservation areas, and tree preservation orders.
Generally planning permission determines whether the proposal is acceptable and therefore allowable. It may be wise therefore to wait until planning permission is granted before making a Building Regulation application.
